A construction equipment manufacturer is hoping the Sky Blues can build on their foundations next season after pledging its support for another five year period.
Terex is closer to the match day action than most with its Coventry base just over one mile away from the Ricoh Arena - in Prologis Park.
But the manufacturing firm is set to get even more up close and personal with CCFC after renewing its Premier Club membership as Platinum seat holders for the 2010/2011 season.
The business employs over 350 people and produces high quality compact equipment for use on construction sites across the globe including backhoe loaders, site dumpers, scissor lifts, hydraulic tools and hydraulic hammers.
Ian Mullen, general manager for Terex Compact UK, said: “Ultimately we use our membership with the Premier Club to entertain customers and it has been very effective for us ever since we first signed up five years ago.
“Because we are based just up the road from the Ricoh Arena, we have a lot of members of staff who are keen Sky Blues supporters, and it is also nice to be able to reward them on occasion for their hard work with trips to matches.
“We are now looking forward to another exciting season – whenever we have taken clients to matches they have always enjoyed it – and hopefully they will be even more entertained this season.”
Trudi Colledge, the Premier Club manager at the Ricoh Arena, said she was delighted Terex had decided to continue in its unstinting support for the club.
She said: “Local businesses signing up to support their local club through the Premier Club membership forms genuine links with the community and sends a clear message of solidarity which can provide a huge boost to both the club and the business.
“Companies can develop a stronger connection with the city it is based in and many of the staff at the company will feel their employer is helping to support the club they love.
“We are delighted that Terex has underlined its support for the club by renewing its Premier Club membership and we look forward to entertaining the company and its guests during the coming season.”
